5 ways to stay active (when you're not so active)

Oh hi again.
It's me.
Your old blogging pal who is pretty excited about today's blog post.

It's something a lil' different to my usual content, as I hardly ever write about fitness or health. But this is why I'm looking forward to sharing it with you and trying something completely new!

Now I'm not going to pretend I'm not sat here in front of my laptop, Netflix playing in the background, wrapped up in my quilt, and munching on my leftover pieces of Toblerone that just fit so perfectly into my mouth. (*drools*)

BUT

I actually can be active! ...sometimes

So this is why I'm collaborating with Origym to bring you 5 ways to stay active (when you're not so active.)

TAKE IT FROM ME, I have an A* in being lazy, but being active can actually be fun and doesn't always have to be sneakily wiping sweat from your forehead after doing 3 seconds on the treadmill. D'ya feel me?

So, here we go!

1) Go for relaxing walks.

Walking is such a simple way to stay active. Whether that's taking your camera out to snap up a few insta worthy pics, taking your dog for a walk, or just admiring the pretty scenery around you. I'm definitely going to start trying to go on at least one nice long walk a week. LET'S DO THIS.

2) Make a tasty smoothie to kick start your day.

I'm not much of a breakfast gal. The thought of eating in the morning (or just mornings in general) make me feel nauseous. Eugh. No thank YOU. However, sipping on a smoothie on my journey to work is something I can definitely cope with. Having breakfast (even in a drink form) can make you feel so much more prepared for the day, meaning you can do so much more without feeling exhausted all of the time. YAY TO FRUIT SMOOTHIES WITH EXTRA ICE CREAM PLEASE.

3) Visit somewhere new.

Travel around! Even if it's just hopping on a bus into the next village along from you. Go and explore. Visit some new shops. Grab a hot chocolate in a near by cafe. Doing these little things can make a huge difference to your day and make you feel so much more active, without ACTUALLY doing exercise. (ha)

4) Yoga!

Now I don't regularly do yoga. But when I have done it in the past, it makes me feel like a sassy independent gal who only has time for herself. YASSSS.
It doesn't feel like you're doing much exercise at the time, but the next day you feel the effects and it's such a satisfying feeling! For your body, and your brain!

5) Go to a fitness class or try out a new course.

I've been to a few salsa dancing classes before and absolutely LOVED them. I don't know why I don't do them more often. Maybe I should add that onto my to do list. Origym do some fab courses too. Their website is super easy to navigate so go and check it out! They offer personal trainer courses, gym instructor courses, online courses...the lot! Having an end goal to something makes staying active so much more worthwhile! It's always great to have something to motivate you and aim for. If you haven't already, check out their website here

Let me know what you think of my 5 ways to stay active! Do you have any more ideas for me that I've missed? Let me know in the comments below!
